The University of Idaho Library is offering a number of workshops that are useful to anyone teaching online. The first is about scholarly collaboration tools, such as Zotero and Mendely that, among other things, allow students to collaboratively build annotated bibliographies and use the tools’ social media aspects to develop their scholarly profile online. There is also a workshop on Open Access publishing and another on finding, using and citing images correctly with regard to copyright. Information can be found on the Library’s Workshop Series page but below are the dates and times of the next 3 workshops this fall.

Jayme,
Will any of the workshops be made available for those of us not on campus?
~Ginna
Not sure. I will find out. I just realized that I can’t go to the one on Zotero and Mendeley because I have a workshop myself at exactly that time. I will contact Jeremy Kenyon. Maybe he would be willing to do something for our group in the future. I’ll keep you posted.
You can definitely see your enthusiasm within the work you write.
The sector hopes for even more passionate writers such as you who are not afraid to
say how they believe. Always go after your heart.
